Pusha T Launches Hip-Hop Voting App ‘Heir’

Fresh off the release of his new album DAYTONA, Pusha T has partnered up with Silicon Valley entrepreneur Summer Watson on new music app called “Heir.”

The hip-hop-centric app was created to allow fans to vote new songs up or down while giving approved users access to music industry insiders and artists respectively. The individuals who show that they have a good ear for the latest music will be rewarded with a new digital currency called “Crown.” The currency can be cashed out once a person saves enough. In addition, users will also be able to get exclusive or early access to an artist’s next tour stop or release.

“Hier” is similar to having stock at a record label, where everyone has a say.

The app’s goal is to engage the hip-hop industry with fans more frequently.  Def Jam Records A&R Executive Steven Victor and Epic Records A&R executive Joey Arbagey will serve as advisors for the app.

Apply for early access here.
