Emmys 2018: Donald Glover and ‘Atlanta’ TV Series Dominate Nominations

Donald Glover’s hit television series Atlanta was nominated for four Emmys today (July 12).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will look to score its first Outstanding Comedy Series win, while Glover is up for his second Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series trophy. Brian Tyree Henry, who plays Glover’s cousin Alfred (aka Paper Boi) was nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, and Zazie Beets, who plays Van, Earn’s co-parent and somewhat girlfriend, was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards will air on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Colin Jost and Michael Che of Saturday Night Live will host the event.
