Del The Funky Homosapien Hospitalized After Falling Off Stage During Gorillaz Performance at Roskilde

Veteran MC Del The Funky Homosapien took a nasty fall over the weekend during the Gorillaz set at the 2018 Roskilde Festival.

The band was performing their breakthrough single “Clint Eastwood” when Del was seen to fall. The group cut their set short following the incident, with Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn thanking the crowd for checking on Del.

The festival organisers posted on Facebook, wishing Del a “speedy recovery”.

“He was seen on site by a doctor and went to the hospital for further examination,” they said. “He is conscious and talking to his team.”

On Sunday (July 8), Del provided an updated on health status on Instagram writing, “Thank you all for the love! I’m doing alright but will be in the hospital for a bit, the care here is outstanding though. Much love to @gorillaz for having me out and I’ll be back soon yall.”
