Lupe Fiasco Pays Tribute to One of Chicago’s First Black Restaurant Owners on New Song

Lupe Fiasco has dropped a new freebie called Harold’s via his Twitter page.

The song is named after Harold’s Chicken Shack, a chicken joint in Chicago that became an integral part of the city’s culture. Harold’s was founded in 1950 by Harold Pierce, one of Chicago’s first African-American restaurant owners. Since then, the restaurant has opened locations in cities such as Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, and many more.

Take a listen to Lupe’s “Harold’s” track below.
