Alberto “Alpo” Martinez Spotted For The First Time in Decades

Notorious Harlem drug lord Alberto “Alpo” Martinez was spotted in New York City for the first time in decades since being released from prison. You may know Po from the cult classic Paid in Full where he was portrayed as Rico by rapper Cam’ron. Since his release, he has shied away from the limelight, as well as conducting interviews. However, last week he was spotted coming out of Jimmy’s in the Bronx on East 168th. Take a look at the video below.

Alpo rose to prominence in the coke game in the 1980s alongside Azie “AZ” Faison and Rich Porter. He was arrested on Federal drug charges, murder, and conspiracy to commit murder on November 6, 1991. According to the Washington Post, he began to cooperate with the federal government almost immediately, confessing to committing 14 brutal murders. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison under federal witness protection.
