Laurence Fishburne and Common will reprise their roles as assassins in the forthcoming John Wick: Chapter 3 movie, the Hashtag Show reports.
Director Chad Stahelski—who worked with Fishburne and the film’s lead actor Keanu Reeves on the Matrix trilogy— will also return as John Wick’s sole director. Stahelski co-directed the first movie in the series, before taking on the second solo.
Cassin (Common) and the Bowery King (Laurence Fishbourne) are among a bevy of supporting players, including Ruby Rose’s mute bodyguard Ares. New to the series will apparently be Hiroyuki Sanada as the primary villain, “the head of a Japanese crime syndicate.”
When Chapter 2 left off, John (Keanu Reeves) had just finished severing ties with an alienating the entire international assassin community, effectively marking himself as a wanted man with a huge bounty on his head to every hired killer in the world.
John Wick: Chapter 3 begins filming at the beginning of March in New York. It may also head overseas to various European shooting locations.
