The Ball brothers—LiAngelo and LaMelo—made their basketball debut for the Lithuania Prienai Vytautas on Tuesday in a packed gym of about 1,500 people. The pregame atmosphere appeared to be a different vibe for the brothers, however, it’s probably something they’ve grown accustomed to.
With their father’s Big Baller Brand logo adorning center court, 19-year-old LiAngelo dropped 19 points, and his young brother, LaMelo, finished with 10 points and several no-look assists to lead their team to a 90-80 victory over BC Zalgiris’s second team.
Per ESPN, Vytautas is a low budget team that withdrew from the Baltic league days after the brothers joined the team. It announced it would form the Big Baller Brand Challenge, which consists of five “friendly” games where the winning team gets $2,000, and the MVP of the game gets a pair of BBB sneakers.
