The Golden State Warriors will be without their star point guard Steph Curry for a while after he suffered a nasty ankle sprain against the New Orleans Pelicans last night. In the fourth quarter, Curry went for a steal against E’Twuan Moore before tripping over his foot and hitting the pavement, twisting his ankle in the process.
While Curry walked to the locker room on his own, he was seen leaving the arena on crutches wearing a walking boot. According to Yahoo’s Shams Charania, X-Rays were negative and the team has scheduled an MRI to follow up.
Curry told reporters after the game that he’ll return, but not too soon due to swelling.
Steph Curry, on crutches and in a walking boot, updates his ankle injury. It's definitely gonna keep him out, but no issues with previous surgical repairs. pic.twitter.com/0WbgZVHHvN
