The Ball family is done with the UCLA following the suspension of their middle son LiAngelo. On Monday afternoon (Dec. 4), it was announced the freshman had pulled from the university before playing a single game due to a suspension over a shoplifting incident in China. Now, it appears that the family’s youngest son, LaMelo, may also forgo college entirely.
According to Yahoo Sports, a representative for both LaMelo, 16, and LiAngelo, 19, have started initial contact with teams overseas. This isn’t a surprise for LaAngelo, but it is for LaMelo, who verbally committed to UCLA earlier this year. He also considered to be a more valuable prospect than his brother and is among the Top-10 players for the Class of 2019. A few months ago, their father LaVar withdrew LaMelo from Chino Hills High School before his junior season to be home-schooled.
