Remy Ma Says New Single “Wake Me Up” Isn’t A Nicki Minaj Diss

Remy Ma is over her beef with Nicki Minaj and she has grown tired of people asking her about it.

After releasing her latest single “Wake Me Up” featuring Lil Kim, many listeners assumed the Bronx emcee was taking shots at her nemesis with bars like, “That crown I’m gon’ take that shit/ ‘Cause you a clown and homie don’t play that shit.”

However, during a recent interview with The Breakfast Club Remy explained that the record wasn’t dissing anyone, and if it was, we would know about it because she isn’t afraid to mention names.

“You hear the record,” she said. “I don’t understand how many times I have to tell people like … I have no problem calling people out by name. I don’t. I’m so over that. I’m past that. I’m like in a good space, like I feel like everything that happened, everything happens for a reason. Right now, what I’m doing right now is what the record is. It’s just a dope record.”

Later in the interview, Remy addresses the rumors that her husband Papoose ghostwrites for her.

“When I met Pun [Big Pun], was Pap writing my rhymes? Pun gave me a whole song on his album. When I did “Ante Up” remix when I didn’t even know a Papoose existed, was he writing it then?”

“When I record my album, I purposely go in the studio by myself.”
