The fight boxing fans from all over have been waiting to see will finally happen in 2018. IBF and WBA champion Anthony Joshua will face WBC champ Deantay Wilder, according to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn.
“I’m sitting down with [Wilder’s representatives] Shelly Finkel and Al Haymon later this week to have our first conversations regarding Joshua vs Wilder,” Hearn told Sky Sports.
“Like all these big fights it’s never easy but hopefully we can find somewhere between reality and fantasy that suits all.”
Joshua (20-0, 20KOs) recently beat Carlos Takam, while Wilder (39-0, 38KOs) made light work of Bermane Stiverne knocking him out in the first round last week.
The two boxers have been engaged in a war of words for the past couple of years, but now it seems it’s finally time to “fight or shut up” as Wilder said in a recent Instagram video.
