Netflix has announced that it’s bringing a new anime series starring Jaden Smith to its streaming service later this month.
The series titled, Neo Yokio, was created by frontman Ezra Koenig of indie band Vampire Weekend. Jaden Smith plays the central character, Kaz Kaan, the youngest member of a family of magic-wielding demon-slayers known as “magistocrats” – who apparently “liberated the city” at some point prior to the start of the series. Although he continues to slay demons at the behest of his Aunt Agatha, Kaz is more interested in field hockey – as well as “mending his broken heart”.
