Lamar Odom’s college basketball coach says the former NBA Star is interested in playing in Ice Cube’s BIG3 Basketball League.
TMZ recently caught up with Jim Harrick, who coached Odom at the University of Rhode Island, and he says the 37-year-old is excited about potentially playing in the 3on3 league.
Harrick says Odom has a ways to go health wise, but if he can get in shape “he can play with anybody.”
Odom last played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2012-13 season. He averaged just 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
The Big3 League, which boasts former NBA favorites such as Allen Iverson, Jason Williams, Kenyon Martin, and Stephen Jackson is headed to the Staples Center in Los Angeles this weekend for the 8th and final week of the regular season. The first round of the playoffs will tip off August 20th in Seattle, followed by the championship round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th.
