LaVar Ball’s Big Baller Brand unveiled the ZO2 sneakers on Thursday, which are priced at $495 ($200 if you wear size 14s or bigger). He also unveiled a pair of flip-flops, that didn’t garner as much attention, but are definitely overpriced, at $220.
As you might expect, the price tag drew much criticism (even the Shaq chimed in) to which LaVar responded saying, “Big Baller’s loose! If you can’t afford the ZO2’S, you’re NOT a BIG BALLER!”

That reply didn’t sit too well with Wale who questioned why LaVar would choose to insult those who couldn’t afford his kicks.
What about the kids that look up to your sons ? You don't have to insult them OG .. mike never insulted ppl who couldn't afford his kicks https://t.co/saxmgyQdIq

During a phone-in with The Dan Le Batard Show on Friday, LaVar explained his reasoning behind the price tag. “I figured that’s what the shoe was worth,” Ball told Le Batard. “I liked the way it sounds. You see, when you are your own owner, you can come up with any price you want.”
