Negash Apparel and Footwear was created in 2007 in Detroit, MI. Inspired by our hometown of Detroit, the arts and life of Egyptian culture, and the ancient ancestral royal blood that still runs through our veins, the brand takes heavy influence from Egyptian symbols, Pharaohs, Gods, and Goddesses. Our logo, the Deshret crown, was worn by the Pharoahs ruling over Lower Egypt. We inspire our customers to know their history and know they are royalty.

When Steps by Stephens was birthed, the founder envisioned an organization that was interested in more than simply making a profit. The company was established on the principles of social consciousness that practiced fair trade. Statistic show that in 2012, 15.9 million children lived in food insecure households.
What is the “Make Your Steps in the World Campaign”?
As part of Steps by Stephens’s campaign, the Steps by Stephens Company is taking a stand in the fight against childhood hunger. The company allocates 10% of the profits from each pair of shoes sold, to purchase food for shelters and non-profits. It is Steps by Stephens’s hope that their part in this effort will assist in reducing hunger in the community.
How does it work?
In partnership with multiple children’s shelters, family shelters, churches and non-profit organizations, Steps by Stephens provides non-perishable goods and hot meals purchased by a portion of the proceeds earned from each pair of shoes sold. We assist the organization in their efforts to feed underprivileged families in the community. Since its inception in 2012, Steps by Stephens has assisted in feeding thousands of families in the city of Atlanta. Won’t you come and walk with Steps by Stephens as we strive to affect the war on hunger?
