VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: The 90s’ Game Changers Will Pay Homage to Martin Lawrence

VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: The 90’s Game Changers will pay homage to the golden era of hip-hop, television, and film. In addition, legendary comedian/actor Martin Lawrence will serve as one of the night’s special honorees, Billboard reports.

Lawrence, known for his vibrant personality and colorful humor, blossomed into a successful movie star following his self-titled 90s’ sitcom Martin. The beloved actor has a myriad of movie franchises under his belt including Bad Boys and Big Momma’s House.

“Anytime anyone wants to recognize you for your work, it’s an honor. I am looking forward to a really great night of fun and music,” says Lawrence in a statement to Billboard.

VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: The 90’s Game Changers will air on Sept. 18.
