Carolina Panthers superstar Cam Newton has a brother who plays quarterback for a historically black college, and he’s accomplished something that Cam can’t put on his resume.
On Saturday (Sept 2), Caylin Newton led Howard to the biggest upset in college football history in a 43-40 win over UNLV.
Newton completed 15 of his 26 passes for 140 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Rebels. He also had two rushing touchdowns and 190 rushing yards on the ground.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound freshman was recruited as an athlete in the class of 2017. His only other offers were from Hampton, Kentucky Christian, Texas Southern and Savannah State.
