Spike Lee Announces ‘United We Stand’ Rally for Colin Kaepernick

Legendary film director Spike Lee has had enough of the NFL’s treatment of free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick, so he’s planning to join a rally on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at NFL headquarters in New York City.

Lee tweeted the following details regarding the event:

Similar rallies have been held in support of Kaepernick, including one organized back in May that included speeches from Eric Garner’s daughter Emerald Snipes, as well as Etan Thomas, a former NBA center who spoke out against the Iraq War.
