According to TMZ, DMX has been released from jail after posting a $500,000 bond. The Ruff Ryders emcee previously pled not guilty to 14 counts of tax evasion, charges that could possibly land him in prison for over 40 years.
The U.S. District Attorney’s office says that X needed 2 co-signers to post the bail money. He was slapped with travel restrictions that ban him from leaving NYC, strict drug testing and the prohibition of carrying a firearm while he’s on bail. A future hearing will determine if X will be able to leave the NYC area in the near future.
Sources say that DMX confessed to hiding multiple years worth of income from the federal government and now owes the IRS around $2 million as a result.
