Colin Kaepernick Seemingly Responds to Michael Vick’s Haircut Advice: ‘Stockholm Syndrome’

Colin Kapernick posted the definition of Stockholm Syndrome to his Instagram page on Tuesday, following Michael Vick’s appearance on FS1 where he advised the free-agent quarterback to cut his hair if he wishes to play in the NFL again.

Although Kaep didn’t mention anyone’s name, it’s clearly directed at Vick who believes a “clean-cut” or even “cornrows” could help improve his chances of signing with a team. Vick also believes Kaepernick remaining unsigned isn’t due to his decision to kneel during the national anthem last season:

“The reason he’s not playing has nothing to do with the national anthem, it’s more solely on his play, but yeah, everything takes precedence, in terms of image, perception.”

The 37-year-old Vick retired this offseason after a 13-year NFL career that included stints with the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers as well as four Pro Bowl nods.
