Atlanta rapper Young Thug released his highly anticipated album Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girls‘ last Friday (June 16), on what would have been Tupac Shakur’s 46th birthday. The timing of the release was no coincidence according to Thug.
“I dropped E.B.B.T.G on 2PAC’S bday because I’m the #newPAC,” Thug wrote on Twitter Saturday night. “I feel like I am the thug he didn’t get to become #SoImGoinFinishWhatHeStarted.”

While Thug is far from the first rapper to compare himself to Pac, Twitter almost immediately went in.
How dare Young Thug think he's the new Tupac? I'm so sick of these new shitty ass rappers comparing themselves to the greatest..
