in June of last year, Lil Wayne allegedly assaulted a white nightclub bouncer in California following the BET Awards. Now, the bouncer is suing Wayne for what he claims was a hate crime against white people.
TMZ reports the suit alleges Wayne and his crew showed up to Hyde nightclub in Los Angeles for an afterparty and were acting belligerent.
The bouncer claims Wayne punched him in the face upon trying to enter the club, knocking him to the ground. The suit also says Wayne then threw a drink in the bouncer’s face and yelled, “Fuck you white boy!”
The publication also reports that Wayne’s camp has denied the allegations.
The bouncer is reportedly suing Wayne, his label and Hyde for damages for assault and battery, in addition to having a $25,000 civil penalty added for the supposed hate crime.
