Pepsi Reportedly Pulls Protest Ad Featuring Kendall Jenner After Backlash

After causing an online firestorm, Pepsi has reportedly pulled it’s latest ad featuring Kendall Jenner unifying cops and protesters by giving a police officer a can of soda.

TMZ reports, the company released the following statement:

“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”

Earlier today, Charlamagne the God and Black Lives Matter leader DeRay Mckesson criticized the company for it’s tone deafness.

Kendall Jenner has also reportedly removed all references to the commercial on social media.
