Former North Carolina defensive end Nazair Jones said he plans to move his family out of the projects with his first NFL check. The 22-year-old spoke with TMZ about his goal to purchase a new home for those who stuck by his side during a critical moment in his life—when he thought he would never walk again.
When Jones was 15-years-old he was diagnosed with rare Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) after a playoff game in his junior year at high school. He thought he would never walk again but after years of physical therapy, his condition improved and he was able to play three seasons at UNC before deciding to go pro.
Jones is projected to be selected in the mid-round of this year’s NFL draft.
