The Boston Celtics playoff game against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday was an emotional one for Isaiah Thomas. The star point guard lost his sister, Chyna, in a tragic car accident the day before but decided to play through his grievance.
Thomas fought valiantly and came out of the gate on fire, leading all scorers with 33. But it wasn’t enough to overcome a monstrous second-half from Jimmy Butler, as the Bulls won 106-102.

Prior to the game, Thomas was understandably overcome with emotion but he tried to keep things as normal as possible during his pre-game routine. He eventually took the floor in a pair of kicks inscribed with Chyna’s name:
