Ice T Explains His Falling Out With Tupac Over “Hit’ Em Up”

West coast veteran Ice-T appeared on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast a few weeks ago, where he touched on pioneering gangster rap and his falling out with Tupac Shakur over his diss song “Hit’ Em Up.”

Ice said after the release of All Eyez on Me, 2pac and the Outlawz stopped by his Los Angeles crib to give him a first listen of the record taking aim at Puffy, Biggie Smalls, and Faith Evans. According to Ice, he questioned why Pac took his issues with former East Coast associates to music and preferred he handle them in person. Their disagreement led to an argument that was never resolved.

Take a look at the full interview above. Ice-T also goes into details about wanting to have Bad Boy and Death Row members end their beef over the phone, but that plan fell apart.
