Remarkable! 8-Year-Old Maryland Girl Collects Hundreds of Socks for Homeless

Miracle Omar is a model, radio show host, and was recently honored for her charitable work helping the homeless. The gregarious 8-year-old from Greenbelt, Maryland, collected 700 pairs of socks to give to those who are less fortunate in the Washington, D.C., area.

“I really want other kids to see what I’m doing and then they can stand up and be like, I can do that too,” Omar told WRC.

She was recognized for her efforts by the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce and plans to continue to her work.
