Lil Eazy E Says California Should Not Change HIV Laws: ‘You Gotta Have Consequences’

Published

on

Lil Eazy E has spoken out against a new bill in California that would reduce the crime of knowingly exposing a sex partner to HIV. The bill, proposed as an effort to reduce the stigma attached to being HIV positive, would reduce the current penalty of a felony to a misdemeanor.

“If their unsafe, you gotta let’em know that you can’t be over here poking at these beautiful women that wanna live a life without consequences,” Eazy said.

The rapper, who lost his father to complications from AIDS in 1995, says his pops era was different because they wasn’t as educated about the disease as we are now.

Lil Eazy adds … “common sense” dictates leaving the law unchanged. Check out the video via TMZ (below).

Mystikal Indicted by Grand Jury on Rape and Kidnapping Charges

Published

As we previously reported, New Orleans rapper Mystikal had turned himself to face charges of rape and kidnapping stemming from an assault at a Shreveport, Louisiana casino last October. The rapper, born Michael Lawrence Tyler, has now been indicted for one count of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping, KSLA reports.

His bond has been set at $3 million.

Two other people were also arrested in connection with the case. In August, a rep for Mystikal denied the charges to TMZ and said he would plead not guilty.

Mystikal had a No. 1 album way back in the year 2000 and managed three top 40 hits and multiple Grammy nominations in his career. However, he also has a history of these kinds of criminal charges and has already spent six years in prison in the 2000s for a sexual assault on his hair stylist. He is registered as a sex offender and has his DNA on file, which is what linked him to this latest crime.

Published

For many celebrities, rehab is only a short vacation from a hardcore lifestyle of drug use or alcohol addiction. But for veteran rapper DMX that lifestyle appears to have run its course. While speaking with TMZ, X’s lawyer Murray Richman said the rapper has cleaned up so much that he’s “back to being human again.”

X has reportedly gained 40 lbs, which is a good thing considering he had been nothing but skin and bones before starting treatment late August in New England, Murray said. His rehab stint is nearly complete, but Murray wants him to stay an additional 30 days since he’s responding so well.

DMX entered rehab after his house arrest for tax evasion proved to be less than ideal. Murray says they’ll tackle the court case once DMX has successfully finished treatment. He’s also not ruling out a tour in the future.
