Ice Cube’s Big3 League Signs Deal with Fox Sports

The momentum for Ice Cube‘s Big3 basketball league has been building and now, it is finally going primetime.

Cube announced on Wednesday (Mar 22) that the league has entered a broadcasting partnership deal with Fox Sports. “This is a big day for the BIG3,” the rapper said on FS1′s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. “We are very excited … we’ve been waiting for this day. It’s extremely exciting to be here with FOX Sports. They definitely see the picture and see the great things we are trying to do.”

Fox Sports will host the league throughout its entire summer schedule Monday nights on FS1 and peak with the championship game live on Fox.

BIG3’s season opens Sunday, June 25 at Barclays Center, and the first broadcast airing will be the following day. The league, which will feature former NBA players in 3-on-3, half-court action, already has commitments from Chauncey Billups, Jason Williams, Rashard Lewis, Kenyon Martin, Charles Oakley and more.

The legendary Julius “DR. J” Erving, Allen Iverson, Rick Barry, Clyde Drexler, George Gervin and Gary Payton will serve as coaches.
