A Florida woman is facing a slew of charges after showing up to a High School school to beat up her teen daughter’s rival.
Ernstlatta LaFrance, 30, and her friend Erlisa Evans, 28, reportedly assaulted a teenager at Carol City Senior High School who was involved in a dispute with her daughter. LaFrance allegedly knocked a cell phone out of the teen’s hand then proceeded to hit her several times.
According to a police report, when the teen showed up at LaFrance’s home with her friends to retrieve her cell phone, she allegedly broke the teen’s middle finger and used an ax to destroy her car. Authorities say Evans then came outside and fired three shots into the air.
“The defendant also bragged on Facebook,” an officer said. “Telling the victim that suffering two black eyes was not the end and she would use a gun,” the officer continued.
LaFrance faces several charges including strong-armed robbery, child abuse, and aggravated battery. Evans, who was also arrested, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun in public.
