Kanye West Recovering by Making New Music with The Legendary Pete Rock

Kanye West is out of the hospital and recovering by making new music with legendary producer Pete Rock. According to TMZ, Kanye built a temporary studio in his Bel-Air mansion so he can have the privacy he needs to get healthy. Ye reportedly is comparing the breakdown, and 8-day hospital stay, to his near-fatal car crash and his mother’s death. He feels he created some of his best work — “Through The Wire” and ‘808s’ — after those crises.

The 39-year-old is recording his upcoming album Turbo Grafx 16, but even though no release date has been announced, there’s speculation it could be sooner than we expected. Pete Rock posted to social media that he was in the studio with Kanye, and teased what might be track-list for the 21-time Grammy Award winner’s 8th solo studio LP.

Pete Rock and Yeezy collaborated on the ‘G.O.O.D Friday’ pt. 12 track “The Joy,” which featured Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and a soulful Curtis Mayfield sample.
